Oleandrin

Oleandrin

Oleandrin is a lipid-soluble cardiac glycoside with potential antineoplastic activity. It selectively binds to and inhibits the α3 subunit of the Na/K-ATPase pump in cancer cells, leading to Akt inhibition, MAPK upregulation, NF-κB suppression, and reduced FGF-2 export. Additionally, it downregulates mTOR, inhibiting p70S6K and S6 protein expression, ultimately inducing apoptosis. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
