PLGA(5k)-PEG(5k)-DBCO is a micelle-forming polymer with hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) block chemically connected to a hydrophilic PEG block. The DBCO is reactive with azide via copper-free click chemistry to form a stable triazole bond. The PLGA core can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs while the PEG can form a tight shell around the core to minimize drug degradation. The polyester PLGA is biodegradable via hydrolysis on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
