AMCA-PEG1-amide-PEG4-Azide
AMCA-PEG1-amide-PEG4-Azide is a fluroescent reagent with an azide group for click chemistry conjugation with terminal alkynes via a copper-catalyzed click reaction or strained cyclooctynes via a copper-free click reaction. The hydrophilic PEG spacer arm increases water solubility, membrane permability, and conjugation efficiency. The additional amide bond could potentially introduce the hydrogen bonding and beneficial some specific applications. AMCA-PEG1-amide-PEG4-Azide is a popular blue fluorescent tagging molecule that has a maximal absorption of 345 nm and emission at 450 nm. This dye is used for protein and peptide labeing.
