Tri-GalNAc COOH is an intermediate in the synthesis of lysosome-targeting chimeras (LYTACs) containing a triad of the galactose amino sugar derivative GalNAc connected by acyl-amino chains to an ether linker with a terminal carboxylic acid that can be functionalized with antibodies or biotin.1 It has been used in the synthesis of LYTACs functionalized with anti-EGFR antibodies that reduce EGFR levels without affecting total protein levels in HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
