DBCO-N-bis(PEG4-amidoPEG8-TCO) is a branched PEG containing two TCO moeties which act as click chemistry handles that readily react with tetrazine groups on a target molecule. The DBCO group is a click chemistry handle which readily reacts with azide groups. The PEG8 spacer improves the water-solubility of the molecule. The half-life of TCO is short as it will naturally isomerize into CCO (cis-cycloctene) and lose the reactivity. TCO compound is not recommended for long term storage.
