14-(Azide-PEG4-ethylcarbamoyl)tridecanoic-t-butyl ester has an azide group on a PEG linker with a alkane tail that has a t-butyl ester group. The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The t-butyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. It is a self-assembling PEG reagent which may form micelles in water. This compound may also be used as a building block for lipids in nanotechnolgy and drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
