18-(Bromoacetamido-PEG3-ethylcarbamoyl)heptadecanoic acid
18-(Bromoacetamido-PEG3-ethylcarbamoyl)heptadecanoic acid has a bromine on a PEG linker with an alkane tail that has a carboxylic acid group. The bromine (Br) can be used as a leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. HATU) to form a stable amide bond. The polymer can form micelles spontaneously in water. This compound may also be used as a building block for lipids in nanotechnolgy and drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
