Azide-PEG-amine, MW 2,000 is a polyPEG containing azide and amine terminal groups. The azide can react with terminal alkynes for copper-catalyzed click chemistry or with DBCO/BCN for copper-free click chemistry. The amine group is reactive with activated NHS ester to form a stable amide bond. The hydrophilic polyPEG increases the compound's water solubility in aqueous media.
