TCO click chemistry is the 3rd generation click chemistry that is widely used in labeling and bioconjugation due to its fast speed and biocompatibility. It is the reaction between TCO (trans-cycloctene) reagent and Tetrazine moiety in an inverse electron demand Diels Alder (IEDDA) reaction followed by a retro-DA reaction to eliminate nitrogen gas.
