Alkyne MagBeads

Superparamagnetic particles that can be used for biomolecule separation, imaging and diagnostic application. BroadPharm provides Alkyne functionalized magnetic nanoparticles with diameter in ~160 nm. The surface groups allow covalent bond formation with the Azide groups grafted in antibodies, proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides or other biomolecules via Copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click chemistry. The attraction of the Alkyne-Azide conjugation is its high selectivity and its stability under most conditions. These properties are especially useful where other conjugating functionalities have to be used due to their limited stability or when careful control of variables, such as pH, are needed to ensure high yielding reactions. With large surface area, excellent colloidal stability and unique surface coating, the functionalized MagBeads exhibit high binding capacity and low non-specific binding of protein or nucleic acids. The functionalized MagBeads are suitable for bioimaging, magnetic separation of specific cellular, protein, bacterial, RNA/DNA and other biomolecules. This product is for Research Use Only.
